This 5 days Rwanda tour package explores Rwanda's Lake Kivu and goes to the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda for visiting of the Rwanda mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. The tour package starts with a Kigali city tour which including visiting the Kigali genocide memorial. The tour package then proceeds to the Virungas where we track the gorillas for a memorable once in a lifetime experience. The mountain gorillas are a rare and endangered species. They can only be trekked in either Uganda, Rwanda or Congo. Most gorilla trekkers prefer to track the mountain gorilla in Rwanda due to a much easier terrain and proximity of the volcanoes National Park to Kigali, which is a mere 2.5hrs drive on very good roads.
After tracking the gorilla, the tour package then takes us through very beautiful countryside to the relaxed lakeside town of Gisenyi. From Gisenyi you can take a daytrip to Goma on the DRC side. You may also take a boat ride of the calm and serene Lake Kivu. We spend a night here before returning to Kigali where the tour package ends.

Tour Package Day 1: Arrival
On arrival to Kigali, you will meet and greet. Transfer to the hotel and check in. In case time allows, you will have a city tour and visit different places in Kigali. You will have lunch and then return to the hotel for dinner and overnight at URban boutique Hotel
Tour Package Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park:
After breakfast you will take up the journey to Volcanoes National Park. En route visit the twin lakes. Overnight: Gorillas Nest Lodge.
Tour Package Day 3: Gorilla tracking
Early breakfast at 5:30am then drive to the park headquarters for Gorilla trekking. Return for lunch at the lodge before proceeding to Lake Kivu - Gisenyi. Overnight at Kivu Serena Hotel - Kigali
Tour Package Day 4: Lake Kivu
After breakfast, you will have a morning boat ride on the lake. You will have a chance to see different bird species. Transfer to Kigali in the afternoon. Overnight: Serena Hotel in Kigali.
Tour Package Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight back home.
