Engagi Lodge one of the contemporary safari Lodges in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This amazing Safari Lodge has dazzling views of the impenetrable forest, set on a big estate of land from the main road adjoining to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Engagi lodge has 8 en-suite cottages, secluded and spread out on the big forestry land. Avery cottage has a private balcony where one can enjoy the view and relax as well. In every cottage there is either double bed or twin beds, they are all en-suite with a private toilet and bathroom.
This exquisite lodge was constructed by local labourers using local materials, the rocks, eucalyptus trees, and the banana fibres were all collected locally from the surrounding areas.
Engagi main lodge which is huge can host different big groups all together but privately. The building is compromised of the sitting lounge, dining area, a big outdoor balcony.
The lodge’s kitchen which prepares assortment of three course meals and al’carte by professional chefs was constructed a bit far from the main lodge to assure confidentiality.
The main source of power is supplied by solar power with the help of a back-up generator. However the hot water in the cottages is provided by eco-friendly wood burning boilers.
Guests can stroll around the lodge and nearby areas, down to the river, while exploring different bird species and plantations.
