A six nights/seven days itinerary in a Kenya off the beaten tracks at US$ 2.875
A Safari in the luxury, privacy, and elegance of two lodges in the less visited part of Kenya but yet the most spectacular and rewarding!

We propose a visit to spectacular Meru National Park and Samburu National Reserve staying at two small lodges praised for their design, intimacy, atmosphere, and, not least, their cuisine.

Enjoy Italian taste and hospitality in Africa!
The Lodges.
Rhino River Camp. An unusual, exclusive and luxury lodge located in extraordinary Meru National Park, Kenya, where the legend of Elsa the lioness began.
A collection of only five luxury cottages (one is a suite) built out of sumptuous caramel canvas and sustainable hardwood, raised on platforms above the gently flowing Kindani River will turn your stay at Rhino River Camp into a quiet, relaxing experience.
-read your favourite novel, or simply unwind.
The very design of it, contemporary with a hint of Africa, is pleasant without being intrusive.
Add to that a swimming pool to dream of, a well-stocked bar and restaurant area, numerous nature trails for you to explore our private property on foot or bike, and this will make your perfect hideout.
Saruni Samburu. A design lodge located on Kalama Conservancy next to Samburu National

There are four houses (two of them are large family villas with two separate bedrooms each and two spectacular bathrooms), a large swimming pool with dramatic view over Samburuland, a
waterhole that attract elephant, reticulated giraffe, zebra, oryx and all the species that make Kalama so special.
Surrounded by a 95,000 hectares private reserve and perched on top of a spectacular viewpoint, its villas and its swimming pool overlook the dramatic landscape of Samburu country.

The vastness and the purity of this African landscape, combined with the untouched local culture, will make your
wildlife safari a different experience.
The Wilderness.
Meru National Park, situated in northern Kenya, covers an area of 870 square kilometers.

It straddles the equator about 370 kilometers northeast of Nairobi.
Thirteen permanent rivers originate from the high hills fringing the western boundary of the Park.
Such an abundance of water flowing through a predominantly arid part of Kenya creates a mosaic of different habitats making Meru one of the most diverse Parks in the whole Africa. Meru N. P. is home to species typical of northern Kenya such as gerenuk, oryx,
lesser kudu, which are not to be found in many other National Parks or areas in Kenya. Not to mention the classic African icons such as lion, cheetah, elephant, and hippo.

Birdlife is particularly abundant with more than 400 different species recorded.
A specific mention has to be made for the Rhino Sanctuary. The area devoted to the protection and population increase of rhinos is today about 50 square kilometres and is located on the
Western boundary of the Park. Here 40 white and 20 black rhinos roam freely.
The Samburu Ecosystem is one of the most exciting in East Africa and is made of several national reserves, private ranches and communally-owned group ranches that are more and more

Famous for its large population of elephants, Samburu stands out for the abundance of northern species that cannot be found in other areas of Kenya.
Kalama Conservation area, the wildlife sanctuary bordering with Samburu National Reserve where we are located, has an abundance of other rare species, like the leopard, the striped hyena, the

We'd love to take you to our secret spots, especially for bush dinner, or to the river for a picnic lunch that allows us to be with elephants, waterbuck, lion, impala, giraffe and all the Samburu species that go and drink water. If you are passionate about birds, Samburu is your preferred park:
not only the species are abundant, but the birds are very tame and can be easily spotted and photographed.
